2008
Almost overnight, he lands in one of the planet's most dangerous crisis regions: Claas Morlang normally works as a marketing specialist for the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) in Geneva. Recently he decided to volunteer for a two-month emergency relief mission. After a strenuous training course and a long wait, he gets his call – destination: South Sudan.
Claas and his two teammates are well prepared for their mission – yet they run into problems that wear them down, both emotionally and physically. How are they to set up a UNHCR office – in a place evidently lacking everything but heat? How can they cope with people who know nothing but civil war?
